Mississippi Magazine’s third annual Mercantile Mississippi will be held on Friday, May 3rd, and Saturday, May 4th, at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson.
In an effort to stay true to the magazine’s mission of supporting Mississippi businesses and people, the two-day event allows guests to shop and learn about the Magnolia State in one convenient location. Boutiques, stores, artisans, and more from around the state will be onsite showcasing their wares and talents.
Several great presentations are new to this year’s event, including B.C. Rogers and Josh Raggio covering small business and waterfowling, Dawn Thomas of After Five Designs providing great dorm decorating ideas, and Welcome Home Sorority with tips for preparing for sorority rush.
Mississippi Magazine’s Patty Roper will provide demonstrations and talks on living life the “Easy Does It” way, and Fresh Ink will again host a panel of talented wedding professionals who will share ideas and wedding planning information while also taking questions from the audience.
There will also be a fashion show showcasing fashions from Mercantile merchants.
Also new this year, guests may purchase tickets to a Blue Suede Breakfast to be held on Friday morning from 8-10 a.m., allowing a limited number of shoppers access to early shopping while enjoying a delicious breakfast and entertainment by an Elvis tribute artist.
Mercantile Mississippi won a Hometown Hero award for the 2018 event.
Tickets are available for advance purchase online at mismag.com and will be available at the door for $10
