The Mississippi Farmers Market will celebrate their summer kickoff with Grillin’ and Chillin’ this Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
During the 2019 summer kickoff celebration, shoppers will learn how to grill the perfect burger with demonstrations by Nancy Strickland of the Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Tasty samples and recipes will be provided.
Farm animals will be on display near the pizza garden with presentations on the various animals beginning at 10:00 a.m., weather permitting.
In addition, shoppers can enjoy complimentary Blue Bell ice cream and fresh popcorn as they browse, shop, and enjoy family games and activities. This fun-filled event will feature the finest farm-raised fruits and vegetables that Mississippi farmers have to offer along with an assortment of fresh baked goods, specialty foods, and unique Mississippi hand-crafted items.
The Mississippi Farmers Market is located at 929 High Street, adjacent to the State Fairgrounds.
