In 1977 Hamil's Restaurant opened, in 1994, Bob Hamil took over the restaurant and a local favorite Mama Hamil's was reborn.
Bob Hamil said that he never knew his passion for cooking until he was already doing it. And the secret to it all? Caring.
Everything from your rolls, all the way down to your BBQ and fried chicken- there’s certain standards you got to stay with to have a good product,” said Bob. “That’s something we have worked hard with and we care about what we do here.”
Mama Hamil’s easily serves hundreds of people each day, so naturally, we had to sit down and join.
Mama Hamil’s may be a local favorite, but it’s no secret that with little to no advertising, the food is what keeps bringing people back.
