Haunted Houses, Pumpkin Patches & Spooktacular Events

Spooky season is here! Celebrate by carving a pumpkin or testing your scream levels at a haunted house!


Lazy U Farm 

Head to Lazy U Farm for a day full of fall activities for all ages. Lazy has hay rides, a pumpkin patch, a playground, duck races, a corn maze, swings, farm animals and more! Admission is $8, and kids under two get in for free. Admission includes all activities and kids get to take home a pumpkin as well!

Hours of operation:

  • Monday-Saturday: 9 am-6 pm
  • Sunday: 1 pm-6 pm

Jail House Shock Haunted House

Walk down the halls of history in the old Madison County Jail this spooky season!

The haunted house will open October 23rd and be open throught the first weekend in November.

Their weekly hours will be Wednesday- Saturday from 7 pm- 12 pm (or the last person goes through) and admission is $10, and tickets can be purchased on site.


House of Haunted Fields & Terror Trail

  • Tickets go on sale at 7 pm and they are $10 per person

Haunted Vicksburg tours

Historic Vicksburg has multiple tours. From ghost tours, city tours, driving and walking tours to cemetery tours, Haunted Vicksburg is ready to kick this Halloween season into gear! Morgan Gates serves as the tour guide. Gates has been conducting tour in Vicksburg since 2007 and is a licensed guide for the Vicksburg National Military Park.

Depending on your tour, the starting point will be located at different points around the city. To book you can call (601) 618-6031 or go online here. Tickets range from $18-$23.

Lazy Acres Plantation

From September 28th to October 27th, The Pumpkin Patch at Lazy Acres invites you to join in on celebrating fall with fun, food and great activities for the whole family! Admission is $9 on Fridays and $10 on Saturdays and Sundays. Kids under 2 are free and admission does not cover the cost of a pumpkin to take home(pumpkins range from $3-$6).

Pumpkin Patch at the Depot

The Olde Towne Depot is selling pumpkins from their pumpkin patch! The Olde Towne Depot is closed Sunday and Monday, but open Tuesday- Saturday 9 am- 5 pm. For more information on the depot check them out here!

The Pumpkin Adventure

Join the Ag Museum on October 9-12, 16-19 and 23-26 during the hours:

  • Weekdays:     9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.   
  • Saturdays:     10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

This event is $8 per person and free for kids under 2.

“The Museum’s Pumpkin Adventure will include the following: a hay ride around the museum grounds and Small Town, Mississippi; a delicious, complementary snack of cookies and milk, a self-guided tour of the Heritage Center Gallery; and a small pumpkin of choice to take home. The General Store will be open for visitors to shop for souvenirs and enjoy an old fashioned Coca-Cola in a glass bottle.”

The McRaven House Tours

The spirit of Halloween in the air has the McRaven home inviting guests to a special tour of the home on October 13th and 17th. The Halloween Ghost Hunts will include the 8:30 haunted tour. After the haunted tour, the ghosts and spirits will provide the guests with refreshments and time to get to know your team and lead investigators. After that, the investigations will begin! This hunt is extremely hands on!

Tickets are $75 each

The McRaven Home is also open for a variety of tours throughout the week. There are three types of tours- history tour, haunted tour and a combo of both! Here are the hours of operation:

History tours

  • Monday – Saturday 10 am – 4:30 pm
  • Sunday 1 pm – 4:30 pm

Haunted Tours

  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights 7 pm and 8:30 pm

History Tour: 1 hour

During the History Tour, you will gain insight into the entire house including a rare frontier kitchen, rooms from three periods, museum quality antiques, and a Civil War gallery with artifacts that were found on the property. Tourists will also have the chance to stroll throughout the 3 acre garden that once served as a Confederate Field Hospital. History tours are with a certified guide.


Haunted Tour: 1 hour 15 mins

Adult & Student: $25 | Five and Under: Free

Haunted tours may be arranged on Monday through Thursday night at the same times with a group of four or more. Reservations are recommended due to limited space. Named as “Mississippi’s Most Haunted House,” you will learn about the most active ghosts at McRaven and have a chance to meet them as you linger throughout the house. Haunted Tours are with a costumed guide.


History & Haunted Combination Tour:

Adult: $35 | Student: $30 (6-18) | Five and Under: Free

This popular package allows guests to fully experience McRaven by combining both the history and haunted tours. The two tours may be taken on the same or separate days.

The Dark Zone 2019

The Terror Festival of 2019 is here. The doors of 13 Deadly Street will open giving you a sudden shock. You will be Scared, Frightened, Horrified and have no idea what to do but we will move you through stopping just long enough to shriek as the panorama of the Dark Zone unfolds. A portion of the proceeds of this event go to benefit programs and charities.

  • The Dark Zone Haunt- This haunted house is full of ghosts, frights and all things DARK ZONE!

General Admission is $10. Gates open each Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and stay open until 10 pm.
