JACKSON, Miss. (MISSISSIPPI WEEKEND) -
WellsFest is back for the first time since the pandemic started, and they’ve stayed true to the same mission since the beginning. To provide an alcohol and drug free space for families to enjoy local music, art, and food.
We are excited about bringing the community together once again for a wholesome day of family fun and great music, while raising funds to help a local non-profit— Chris Cumbest - Pastor Wells United Methodist Church
But first- Art Night. WellsFest is known as Jackson’s first music festival, so of course you can expect live music. But it’s time to shine a light on the art! You can auction some pieces online now, but live bidding starts Tuesday, September 20th at 5 p.m. at Duling Hall in Fondren.
The preview party starts at 5:30 p.m. with complimentary appetizers from Table 100, and a “buy now” section where you don’t have to wait to pick up some special new artwork.
After that, the live art auction begins at 7 p.m. and MS native, Ellen Langford will live paint on site and add her finished piece to the auction before the night is over.
Then, get ready for the 38th Annual WellsFest on Saturday, September 24th at Jamie Fowler Boyll Park on Lakeland Drive!
