JACKSON, Miss. (MISSISSIPPI WEEKEND) -
Miskelly Furniture’s final Season of Giving drop off was their biggest one of the year! The donation went to Walk in Newness, Inc. - a non-profit committed to housing, and serving women in our community who have aged out of the foster care system. The organization received twin beds, dressers, chests, nightstands, a dining room set and a living room set to help transform this house into a home.
I just want them to know that they’re loved, know that they’re cared for, and that they have someone behind them to push them.— Jacqueline Mallett - Walk in Newness, Inc.
Oscar Miskelly and his daughters were proud to keep the Season of Giving tradition going strong for its 17th year.
As a retailer its been a challenging year in order to get product and do the things we need to do to serve our customers. It’s been difficult but very rewarding that we’ve been able to serve as many people as we have. Definitely want to have a record Season of Giving in order to help others.— Oscar Miskelly - Miskelly Furniture
Owner and Director of Walk in Newness, Jacqueline Mallett says she’s grateful for the donations from Miskelly Furniture and that this is only the beginning.
Well we need everything for them. Miskelly Furniture has done a humongous job donating the furniture. They will need toiletries, clothing, food... everything that you need to operate the home.— Jacqueline Mallett - Walk in Newness, Inc.
