To kick off one of the happiest times of the year, Cathead Distillery is hosting Hal and Mal’s annual second line stomp from 3-7 p.m. Hal & Mal’s will be serving Cathead Vodka cocktails and Cathead will be serving from their craft beer bar. The Epic Funk Brass Band will be performing from 5-7 p.m.

This is the BEST way to kick off your St. Paddy’s day weekend & the most fun pre-party to commence the weekend. The event is free and open to all ages. Pups welcome!

Credit Unions For Kids St. Paddy’s 5k

Start off your St. Paddy’s Day festivities by joining us for the annual St. Paddy’s Day run, walk, and children’s fun run sponsored by Credit Unions for Kids.

Strollers and pets (on leashes) are both welcomed at this event! The course is relatively flat and easy to navigate with a jogging stroller.

Hal’s St. Paddy’s Children Festival

St. Patrick’s Day is a family event in Jackson! Kids of all ages are the center of attention at the Clarion-Ledger Children’s Parade & Festival. Inky the Clown, with his unique brand of juggling, comedy, and magic, will be Master of Ceremonies, for the children’s area festivities along Pascagoula Street.

The children’s area festivities will feature fantastic ticketed amusement rides and games, as well as Magical Creations’ offerings of balloon animals, face painting, photos with costumed characters, and more!

The Mississippi Museum of Art invites attendees of all ages to experience the festivities from the comfort of The Art Garden—Downtown Jackson’s premiere public green space.

The Hollywood Feed and MARL Pet Parade

Dogs, goats, horses and more are expected to be adorned in their finest Irish or themed costumes by their owners and walked around Lamar Street for all to see and to raise funds to support Mississippi Animal Rescue League.

Trophies for the Hollywood Feed Pet Parade will be awarded for 1) Creativity, 2) Originality and 3) Performance, immediately following the parade on the steps of the Planetarium on Lamar Street.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the parade will begin at 10 a.m. Sign up your pet (or pets!) for $5.00 each.

Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade

It’s Mississippi’s annual celebration of Spring, dubbed as a “green Mardi Gras” and a “lighthearted homecoming where everyone is king-and-queen-for a-day.”

Hal’s St. Paddy’s Day Parade is one event in the Capital City that you DO NOT want to miss! This year’s theme is “A Magical Mystery Tour” and Grand Marshal Robert St. John will lead the parade through the streets of downtown Jackson, entertaining thousands of people.

This year is extra special as Jill Conner Browne and her court of Sweet Potato Queens return to the parade!

All of the funds raised from the parade will benefit Batson Children’s Hospital.

Hal’s St. Paddy’s Festival will take place immediately following the parade at Hal and Mal’s! Featuring live music from Yesterday Beatles Tribute, Mustache The Band, The Bluz Boys, and Southern Komfort Brass Band, the festival will have you rocking into the night!

Martin’s Downtown St Paddy’s Party

You will NOT want to miss Martin’s Downtown’s Annual St. Paddy’s Day Party. With musical guests Afroman, Epic Funk Brass Band, DJ Young Venom, DJ Nasty Show and much more, you will be partying into the night at the downtown Jackson hotspot.

Martin’s is the perfect spot, right on the parade route, to spend your entire day celebrating during Jackson’s Green Mardi Gras. They will be serving up live music and libations from 10 a.m. – 2 a.m.

10th Annual St. Paddy’s Block Party

The 10 Annual St. Paddy’s Day Block Party kicks off at Ole Taven on George Street at 2 p.m. Saturday and the party goes until 2 a.m. rain or shine.
They will have the patio open with live music from Calvin Webster, The Whiskey Barrels will be upstairs and DJ Glenn will be providing the dance party.
$8 food specials, many drink specials, and swag are what wait for you at Ole Tavern. There will be door prizes from Jägermeister, so come early and grab your ticket to win one of two single bottle dispensers.
