Mardi Gras in a glass!
Our friends over at Gulf Coast Weekend sat down with Dave Reese and Sue Nguyen-Torjusen, the masterminds behind this celebratory seasonal brew!
What started as a joke quickly fermented into a tasty new seasonal brew. When Chandeleur Brewery’s Brewmaster, Dave Reese, decided that tossing king cakes into brew tanks was a good idea, he reached out to Sue Nguyen-Torjusen, owner of Le Bakery in Biloxi, Miss., and creator of one of the best king cakes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Both being true lovers of their craft, after passions collided, the King Cake Ale was born!
The carnival craft brew will be available on tap at Chandeleur’s Mardi Gras Kickoff Party on February 22. Be aware, the King Cake Ale is a limited beer and it won’t last long. While there you’ll also be able to try different flavors of Le Bakery’s famous king cake. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
