It’s a bittersweet day that one of Jackson’s best farm to table BBQ restaurants, Dave’s Triple B, will be moving. While it’s only moving about 30 minutes outside of Jackson to Flora, MS it’s still a sad day to see it being relocated after over 2 years on High Street, adjacent to the Mississippi Fairgrounds.
Chef David Raines opened Dave’s Triple B: The Butcher, The Baker, and The Barbecue Maker in March of 2018. This restaurant is true farm to table, with Mississippi’s agriculture playing a huge role in the food that we have come to love. “Dave’s features Wagyu Chicken Fried Steak, Wagyu burgers, locally sourced salads, blue plate specials, barbecued pork from Flora and Wesson, Ms.; lamb and goats from Como, MS chickens from Hattiesburg, Ms.; tomatoes, lettuce, salad greens from Flora.”
Chef David Raines is no stranger to Flora. His premium butcher shop, The Flora Butcher has been flourishing there since August 1st, 2016. The prized Japanese Wagyu Beef featured at The Flora Butcher, is all raised by David’s family on their Louisiana farm which is why they’re able to issue high quality beef at a fraction of the cost.
Closing and Relocation Dates
The current location of Triple B’s will be closing this Friday, September 4th, 2020. The new location is scheduled to open October 1st and will be housed in Flora’s historic Blue Rooster Building at 4822 Route 22. “This move is all part of a master plan to create four food-oriented businesses within Madison County over the next two years”
With Chef David Raines having shared his talents all over the world and already having some roots in Flora, we’re sure the transition will come with ease. Be sure to swing by Triple B’s at 970 High Street Jackson, MS before they close. Jackson will surely miss you; Flora is gaining a gem.
