RESCHEDULED: The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra’s 37th annual Pepsi Pops concert has been moved to Friday, MAY 24!
Pepsi Pops will take place at Ross Barnett Reservoir’s Old Trace Park, with the assistance of Brown Bottling Group. Additional sponsors include Regions Bank, EastGroup Properties, BKD LLP, and Gotta-Go, with media sponsorships from WLBT, iHeart Radio, MISS 103FM, Hallelujah 95.5FM, 105.1 THE RIVER, Z106.7FM, and the Clarion-Ledger.
Gates will still open at 4:30 p.m., and at 5:30, special guest emcees Marshall Ramsey and our very own Maggie Wade will introduce the pre-concert entertainment. Featured groups include the Mississippi Youth Symphony Youth (MYSO), The Southern Komfort Brass Band, and David Keary & Friends.
In addition to face painting, children will have their own activities area in the kids’ playground, open from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The Manship and Pig & Pint will be on-site selling delicious food and ice cold Pepsi products. Attendees are invited to bring their family picnic basket to the event for the “Best Picnic Design” contest. Winners will be announced during the program with prizes donated by Mangia Bene. The ever-popular glow sticks will be available for sale at the MSO Central tent.
At 7:30 p.m., Maestro Crafton Beck will lead the audience in singing the Star Spangled Banner. Beck will then lead the orchestra in a rousing concert of audience favorites, including soundtrack music from The Music Man, Grease, Solace, the theme from MASH, selections from The Magnificent Seven, the Beach Boys and Elvis Presley. Plus, patriotic songs and marches by Bruce Healey and John Philip Sousa.
Pepsi Pops will culminate in a spectacular finale of night sky fireworks.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate, $5 for students/children ages 4-18.

VIP parking passes can be purchased for $30 by calling the box office. Parking in the lower lot is free.
